Dr Conor O’Meara
Dr O’Meara graduated with honours from University College Cork in 2014 and began his career in general practice in Dublin. During this time, he successfully completed his membership examinations with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was admitted as a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery.
He subsequently undertook a number of oral and maxillofacial surgery hospital posts at leading institutions across Ireland and the UK, including Cork University Hospital, St James’s Hospital, and the Royal London Hospital.
Dr O’Meara was appointed Lecturer and Registrar at Dublin Dental University Hospital in 2020, with a clinical focus on endodontics. He went on to complete a three-year Master’s degree in Endodontics, achieving distinction in endodontic treatment and a merit for his research thesis examining strategies to reduce postoperative pain following root canal treatment.

Alongside this, Dr O’Meara achieved Canadian board certification and membership of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, working in Toronto for two years before returning to Ireland in 2025.
Dr O’Meara has published research in the national dental journal and received awards for his clinical and academic work both nationally and abroad. He has a strong interest in teaching both undergraduate dental students and early-career dentists, and has completed a Certificate in Health Professions Education with University College Cork.
He is experienced in the use of a dental operating microscope and undertakes both routine and complex treatment under magnification to ensure precision and consistently high-quality outcomes.
Dr O’Meara is a member of both the Irish Endodontic Society and the European Society of Endodontology.
Dr O’Meara’s main clinical focus is endodontics, but he is also pleased to provide all aspects of general dental care.
